My wifi has been acting up so I went to Intel website to see if my drivers needed to be updated. Sure enough, it says "Newer Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility Available 16.1.1 is available. Problem is, when I saved the file to my desktop and then try to run it, Windows 8 crashes.
So how exactly do I run/install this new driver? Any suggestions?
thanks

You may try uninstalling the old version first from Programs and Features and Device Manager. Then, delete these folders before running the installer again:
If the above suggestion does not help, please indicate if this is a clean Windows* 8 installation or an upgrade over existing Windows* 7.
