Wireless cards that support hosted networks

Hello, I saw in this article (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023257/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Why Hosted and Ad-Hoc Networks are Not Working on Windows® 10) that hosted networks no longer work for many wireless cards in Windows 10. Are there any cards that do still support it? The list of cards that don't support hosted networks in the article doesn't include the AC 7260 or the AC 9462, but the AC 7260 looks to be discontinued, and I can't find a source to buy the 9462 anywhere. Are there any other options available? For our purposes, the Wireless Hotspot feature in Windows won't work.

Hello tallen525,

Thanks for posting. We understand that you're looking for Intel® Wireless adapters that are compatible with hosted networks in Windows 10*.

You may compare the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005602/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html list of adapters supported on Windows 10* vs the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023257/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html adapters that use the new Windows 10* driver model that doesn't supported hosted networks.

Please bear in mind that most of those adapters are End of Life (discontinued). As for the Intel® Wireless-AC 9462, please check with your computer OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005687/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html?_ga=1.33281086.1415059657.1457358642 compatibility and availability of devices for your system.

Please let us know if anything else is required.

Best regards,

Eugenio F.
