Is Real Sense working under sunlight?

Hi all,

I have a quick question about Real Sense camera.

Based on the specifications of short-range F200 and long-range R200 cameras, they are using IR cameras.

Is there any problem with IR band of sunlight?

I am planning to develop outdoor application and sometimes camera will direct sunlight.

I'd appreciate if you can confirm it or have any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, neoengine:

Thank you for contacting the Intel® Communities.

I have some information that you could check that is related to RealSense and lighting.

Page 43 would include the best practices while using this product, which includes lighting related practices.

Regarding developing purposes, my recommendation would be to contact the development communities which would provide you with the proper support for development.
