Whenever I upgrade my drivers from the version I'm using now, "20.19.15.4352", screen flickering starts, the reason I'm asking this is because its an old driver released back in December 15, 2015 and would like to upgrade to a more recent driver that doesn't flicker. All help is appreciated.
Windows 10 64-bit
BIOS Version: F.09 Rev A
Factory graphics version: Intel HD 520 - 20.19.15.4380
Current graphics driver: Intel HD 520 - 20.19.15.4352
Laptop: HP Pavilion 15-au030wm
On a side question though, would a bad video driver cause stuttering audio playback that also occasionally has dropouts?

I stopped the flickering, but I got a BSOD error labeled as: "KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED", I installed, Intel HD 520 Beta 20.19.15.4539 on my new HP Pavilion 15-au030wm laptop and was curious if I installed the wrong beta driver. Thanks for your help!

Hello KevinMP:
In regard to your question, yes, in some cases a bad video driver could cause stuttering audio playback and dropouts, but in this case the laptop should have an audio driver that we can install to try to fix this problem. Some products do not have an audio driver and in those cases the audio driver is included on the graphics driver and that is why a bad graphics driver could create those problems.
For the Intel® HD Graphics 520 controller, the driver 4539 should work, so you are using the correct driver, however the latest graphics driver is the following, beta 4552, you can try it as well:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355
If that driver does not work, then we can try the following, it is not a beta driver it is version 4542:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355
I looked for the drivers directly on HP's web site, and it says that the driver the laptop needs to use is 4454, on the link below you will find that driver and the audio driver as well, it is the first one:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-au000-notebook-pc-series-touch/10862160/model/11830120 http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-au000-notebook-pc-series-touch/10862160/model/11830120
Additionally, if you found a driver that fixes all the issues with the laptop, then we recommend to keep using that driver even though is not the newest, as long as the system works fine then you can keep it.
Any questions, please let me know.
