If i have an i9 processor

and a PCIe M.2

and a HGST He10 HDD

can i use VROC to accelerate the HGST using the M2? just like you would use a SATA SSD to accelerate a HDD. or is that not supported?

also where do i get the key for VROC?

Hello Trickster29,

Thank you for contacting the Intel® VROC support

We will more than glad to investigate if VROC can archive the configuration that you are trying to setup, but we will like to inform you that Intel® VROC is currently supported on the following Intel Xeon® Processors:
  • Intel® Xeon® Skylake - W + Intel® 620 Series chipset
  • Intel® Xeon® processor E5/E7 v5 Skylake + Intel® C422 Series chipset
In regards if there is a expected date for the I9 processors support,
  • No, for now there is no expected time
Regards
