I just bought the brand new intel 320 SSD 120G last week. It worked well before I flashed its firmware to 4PC10362. Just two days after I flashed it, I got the Bad_CTX error. So what can I do? I am in Australia. Don't tell me to return it to USA intel!

SongV,

See this forum thread: /thread/24634?tstart=0 http://communities.intel.com/thread/24634?tstart=0

1. After you are hit by the "8MB bug" your data is not recoverable from the SSD!

2. First do a Secure Erase on your SSD, to restore the ssd to its factory state.

3. After a succesfull Secure Erase your ssd should be usable again.

If this does not work, you have to RMA the ssd to your vendor-dealer or Intel for a replacement.

Thank you for your help. The HDDErase 3.3 & 4.0 don't work on my sony laptop. Do you know any other tools like that? Thanks again.
