surface pro 4 external monitor

I'm not able to see a 2k (2048x1080) resolution my surface pro 4 external monitor, I'm using a mini-DP to HDMI passive adapter and a lg 29um58-p monitor, and it is an hd graphics 520. Any idea?

You should be able to get 2048*1080 screen resolution when using an external monitor. I have checked the specifications for your external TV and it will go up to 2560 x 1080.

I mean it seem to be a video card limitation.

Could it be related to the adaptor for mini dp to hdmi?

Most of the issues with multi-monitor configurations are related to video cables or adapters.

Ok, is this adapter specification seem ok to use StarTech MDP2HD4KS? Otherwise do you recommend any model?

The adapter specifications seem great. I would try checking this compatibility with StarTech. I am afraid I cannot recommend any video adapter model.
