I350 : Power consumption of SVR & LVR

Hi all,

i'm confuse about this power consumption.

there are exist that power consumption table in the datasheet (11.5 current consumption)

but it is difference SVR & LVR electrical specifications written(11.6.9.1 & 11.6.9.3)

and what means about SVR's PWM mode & PFM mode?

nowhere explain about that in the datasheet

Thank you for the post. Can you help clarify what is the difference you mentioned as table 11.5 refers to current consumption while the table 11.6.9.1 and 11.6.9.3 refers to electrical performance of the 1.0V SVR when using the components specified

 

in section Section 11.9.1 and electrical performance of the 1.8V LVR using the components specified in section Section 11.9.2.

 

 

 

Where did you see the PWM and PFM mode? PWM refers to Pulse Width Modulation while PFM refers to Pulse-frequency modulation

Hi,

in the I350 datasheet Revision 2.4

11.6.9.1 section written about load current

The ampere of 4.0A @ PWM mode in 1.0V and 600mA in 1.8V

it is some different i mentioned above table.

which one i take?

Can you help sent the screenshot of the Table you refer to and encircle or highlight the difference.

What i can see is Table 11.5 contains the power consumption page 923 (see attached)

 

 

For Table 11.6.9.1 (pls refer to attached file), where is 600m in 1.8V?

here it is 600mA load current @ 1.8V

now i attention about current consumption of each 4port copper & optic

and.. can i control PWM / PFM mode @ I350?

Hi Ksh,

 

 

What you refer to are different since Table 22 refers to LVR DC specification while 11.6.91. refers to SVR specification.

 

 

Can you help clarify about the control of pwm and pfm mode of i350?

Hi,

i just ask you about PWM & PFM in that table.

nowhere explain about PWM & PFM in the datasheet, it is suddenly appear in the table

is it possible the configuration of PWM & PFM at I350?

-current consumption-

1. 1.0V x 4A + 1.8V x 600mA = 5.08W

2. 4port 1000copper with SVR&LVR = 4.372W

3. 4port 1000fiber with SVR&LVR = 2.938W

which one i refer?

the sum of each SVR and LVR power is 5.08W, but 1000copper with SVR and LVR is 4.372W.

what is the difference?

now i'm in H/W design step, so i need predicted power consumption value.

i don't need formula. just inform me please.

if i design 1G copper or 1G optic, just refer the power consumption table?(4.372Watt, 2.938Watt)

And why there are appear PWM, PFM word?
