Hello all,

My intel DC P3700 NVME make 350K iops on my HP DL 380 Server with

4 worker 256 thread on win server 2008 r2 on iometer.

When i set it to 1 worker 256 thread , it goes up to only 120K iops.

Why doesn't it go over 120 K. Is there a way to make the drive do this ?

Hello erhansahin,

The Intel® SSD DC P3700 should perform according to its specifications as long as it is connected to a PCIe* Gen3 x4 slot, and using the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23929/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Data-Center-Family-for-PCIe-... Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe Drivers.

We would like to mention that the performance data is calculated using IOMeter* on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Queue Depth 32 and 4 workers. The values may be different depending on the drive model and configuration of the test: read vs write, sequential vs random, block (transfer) size, etc.

The tested performance values are found in page 10 of the http://www.intel.ie/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-specifications/ssd-dc-p3700-spec.... Intel® SSD DC P3700 Series Product Specification. Here you will find the parameters used and the expected performance.
