NUC5i3RYK not showing bluetooth in windows 10

Hi everyone,

I have recently upgraded my Intel NUC (NUC5i3RYK) from Windows 8.1 to 10. After the upgrade the bluetooth did not show up correctly anymore meaning that Windows behaves as if there was no bluetooth available at all. So I do not have any Bluetooth menu, neither in the tray nor in the Windows settings (http://prntscr.com/86qy4n http://prntscr.com/86qy4n). It was working just fine with Windows 8.1.

I installed Windows 10 again just to make sure that nothing went wrong during the upgrade but the issues remain.

I have the latest drivers (17.1.1529.1620) installed but still Windows 10 does not list any bluetooth option.

The device manager lists "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)" in the Bluetooth section and the status indicates that it should work correctly but what's strange is that the power management tab is missing as well as that under "Hardware" the information are missing (http://prntscr.com/86qvsl http://prntscr.com/86qvsl). I have another NUC that is still running Windows 8.1 and there it lists those information (http://prntscr.com/86qw9c http://prntscr.com/86qw9c).

Does anyone have a clue what I could do?

Thanks a lot in advance

Steffen

mpsteffen,

What is your wireless adapter?

Did you buy this NUC with the wireless adapter already installed or did you install it later?

I bought it with the already installed adapter. It should be Intel Wireless-AC 7265.

Hello mpsteffen,

Looking at this issue, it may be related to the Windows* Update process and it might be helpful to check with Microsoft*. On our support page: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25227/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-for-Windows-10 Intel® Download Center we have the latest driver (18.12.1) for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265. Please, before you installing the latest driver, make sure you have the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 as you've mentioned it should be. Once you have installed, check if you can now see the missing options.

I'm having the exact same issue with my Intel NUC5i7RYH. I have a support ticket with Intel and the next step in that case we are going to have a remote session so I can show Intel the problem and not only via screenshots.
