Windows 10 64-bit 15.36.24.4264 -- Can't Install?

I am running my laptop with Intel HD Graphics 4600, and I've been patiently waiting for a scaling fix. I noticed that a new update finally came out last night, and it appears to include the fix to my problem.

However, when I go to install the new update (15.36.24.4264), it gives me the following error:

"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems."

I am running Windows 10 64-bit, and I downlaoded the driver found here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25232/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64bit https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25232/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64bit

To install, I used the Device Manager Update Driver Software function like I have been with every update, as the .exe has always given me more problems than it's worth.

Any ideas?

Hello Noiziv,

Please try to do the installation process by using the .exe method and if you get any error please provide me with it and if possible provide me with a screenshot of the error. Now, you can also get the latest driver available for your laptop based on the fact that those software drivers are generic versions and can be used for general purposes. However, computer original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the software or software packaging they provide.

Thank you for your help on this.

Best regards,
