Hello RealSense community,
I recently acquired the RealSense SR300 and I am really impressed about the implemented hands gestures capabilities on the official Windows SDK. So to be clear, the Gestures module in the Hands / Cursor libraries.
On this behalf I would like to know if any of you have experience porting these gestures to Linux, especially Ubuntu. I am aware of the librealsense open source library, but it provides only basic streaming functionalities as far I understood it. Maybe some of you can provide some alternatives on this behalf. My main intention is to self define the swipe gestures as the default ones are defined in a very narrow space dimension.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks in advance

Hi RedForza,
Thanks for your interest in the Intel Realsense Platform.
At the moment only the librealsense library is the application available for interacting with the cameras using Linux. Nevertheless I would encourage to contact directly the creators of this library by posting directly in their community in this link: (https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/search?q=cursor&type=Issues&utf8=%E2%9C%93 Search Results · GitHub ). Maybe they would be able to help you with some ideas on how to develop a Hands/Cursor library.
I hope you find this information useful, have a nice day!
Best Regards,
-Jose.

Hi Pototo,
Thanks for your interest in the Intel® RealSense Platform.
Unfortunately, only the librealsense library is the application available for interacting with the cameras using Linux. I see that you open another thread , asking for hand tracking samples in Windows. Well, I have good news! If you install the Intel® RealSense™ SDK https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-realsense-sdk/download Intel® RealSense™ SDK | Intel® Software you will find samples for Hand Tracking. Please see the Release Notes in order to know all the capabilities of the SDK http://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/irc_nas/9558/release_notes_RealSense_SDK_2016_R3.pdf http://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/irc_nas/9558/release_notes_RealSense_SDK_2016_R3.pdf .
Hope you find this information useful, have a nice day!
Best Regards,
