Problem with Intel HD Graphics

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Intel HD graphics driver. I installed a windows 8.1 anew in my laptop and at first everything seemed to be fine. But later i found out that, the performance was slow. I tried updating my Intel driver but it was already up-to-date. In the Generic PnP Monitor and Intel HD graphics family properties tab (in the screen resolution option), I noticed everything was in chinese and I am sure it is not due to the language settings. Could this a driver malfunction?

Thanks in advance.

Hello overlord,

In regard to your concern, my suggestion it is to install you manufacturer (OEM) drivers, due that these drivers are specially designed for your laptop.

Please uninstall our generic drivers: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html Uninstalling the Intel® Graphics Driver and Intel® Display HDMI/Audio Driver

Then, download your manufacturer (OEM) drivers:

Please let me know your findings.

The same problem persists even when I install the driver from my OEM.

The Intel® HD Graphics Control Panel will automatically select the language set for non-Unicode programs and this point there is no option to change at the software level.

You can also, try uninstalling the driver that you have installed, please see http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html Uninstalling the Intel® Graphics Driver and Intel® Display HDMI/Audio Driver

Once the driver is uninstalled, install the Intel generic driver manually, you can see how to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 and Windows 8*/8.1*

You can download the latest driver here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26229/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81497 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26229/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81497

Please follow every step to install the driver manually.

If that does not work, try the following:

1. Go to the Windows* Control Panel.

2. Open the icon Regional and Language Options.

3. Select Administrative tab and select Change system locale.

4. Select the language of preference from the drop-down list.

5. Select the Formats tab and change the Current format to match the language selected from Current system locale.

6. Click Apply and restart when prompted to "Restart now".

I hope this can help.

Regards,

Ivan.

Hello overlord,

If the issue persists after you try with the previous steps and after the installation of the drivers from your OEM or manufacturer (Acer).

My suggestions, for additional technical assistance, contact the support from Acer in order to confirm if there is any compatibility issue or any other.
