I updated my OS to Windows 10 from windows 7 and after update my Intel turbo boost partlly stoped working. It only works when im using my laptop on battery power. When i connect it to power supply my turbo boost monitor show it goees to power saving mode and doesnt go over 1.6 Gh even when i stress the CPU. It should turbo boost the procesor up to 2.8Gh. Did anyone else had this problem and what could be a solution?

Is this posible because im using wrong charger 4,5A instead of 6,5A so wrong current locks turbo boost?

Hello flisko,

Please provide your laptop's brand, model and Operating System architecture(x32 or x64) so we could provide more information in regards to the drivers needed.

Additionally, you could refer to the laptop's manufacturer website and confirm the latest drivers available for your laptop and also confirm if Windows 10* is officially supported by your Laptop's manufacturer.

My model is HP Envy 17 1050ea. On hp driver update it says that all drivers are avavailable through Windows 10 update and even when i go on device manager and try to update processor drivers is shows that driver instaled are up to date. I have x64 system. I also instaled HWINFO and checked if turbo boost is enabled but turbo boost monitor showing its in energy saving mode all the time. I also noticed that Turbo boost Works first 20-30 seconds after windows startup and than goes to power sawing mode. Looks like that a certain proces in windows starts and couses that restriction of boosting procesor frequency.
