Use this driver

If you encounter an error message about compatibility or validation, proceed like this:

Create a system restore point

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/e6bbddb0-9db4-4d88-9063-42c52c79a96e/create-a-system-restore-point

Install the desired driver via "have disk method" as described at:

http://www.windowscentral.com/how-install-intel-beta-graphics-drivers-surface

(ignore prolog about MS surface)

Hello Stefan3d i tried that patch and tried it with a fresh installment of windows 10, and still got that screen flicker crash with no error messages. and even tried the "have a disk method" and still no help, only time i had it running was when i just put the cpu in and used "Microsoft basic display driver" lagged in games but could run, but when i installed any drivers with intel or windows update with intel in it, it "flicker crashed" on install or shortly after.

Thank you to Stefan3D for the suggestions provided previously.

michael84: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® graphics communities.

Remember that the Intel graphics drivers are generic, meaning they might or might not work with your system. That is why we always recommend to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer of the laptop, since they were customized in this case by Acer to work with that specific system.

I looked in their web site actually Windows® 10 is not supported, the PC supports Windows® 7 or 8. Based on that you will find the proper graphics driver for this computer on the following link, please look for VGA:

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/4081?b=1 https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/4081?b=1

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,
