Please help me. I tried with 4GB RAM in both of its slots and with 4GB in one slot as well but it didn't take it, and it is specified that this processor can handle 16.38 GB of memory and DH55PJ board can handle 4GB RAM in both the slots with a total of 8GB RAM on the system.

So it should work but it is not and it is bugging me a lottttttttttttt.

Please help me. I direly need to upgrade the RAM .

Does your memory meet the specifications as provided in section 1.6, page 15, of the technical specification?

Note that, while the processor may support 16gb, the board only supports 8gb.

And, you will note that your board is no longer supported: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/legacy-intel-desktop-boards/intel-desktop-board-dh55pj.html Intel® Desktop Board DH55PJ

Dear SIr,

Thank you for replying,

I agree that the board is no longer supported but i love my computer and the only thing that it is lacking in, is the amount of RAM.

I want to upgrade the RAM to its maximum capacity in order to make my computer cope up with the software that are coming nowadays.

I have tried to put a 4GB stick in the DIMM socket but my computer didnt buy it,

Please help me, I know my board can take 8GB, I just dont know how to do it.

Please suggest the RAM to buy. I want to upgrade it to 8GB.

Please suggest me the specifications that I could tell the vendor, like the voltage requirement or the speed related to this board.

Hello Intello,

I am not Intel, but I wish I could also be welcome by you.

Wow, you have a charming Intel brand motherboard, http://ark.intel.com/products/48955/Intel-Desktop-Board-DH55PJ Intel® Desktop Board DH55PJ Specifications , what such an amazing thing!

Do you know what kind of 4GB DIMM module you have, but your computer didn't buy it? Just take a look at the label on your memory modules.

This mobo does not support DDR3L (1.35V), it does not support 4GB memory module with only One Rank. It does not support 4-bit memory modules (AMD exclusive memory module), it does not support ECC with or without buffer memory modules.

I have no ideas whether you understand what I mentioned above, but you could choose any memory modules rather than the above mentioned one. Your system could support 8GB memory at maximum with proper memory modules. You are welcome to tell me the information about your memory modules (the information on the label of your memory module).

Best Regards,

Aaron Janagewen

Hello Intello ,

Above Al Hill posted the link where you can see the RAMs compatible with your motherboard, I'm going to post it again here so you can take a look at it:
