Automating Wi-Fi Connectivity on Windows 7 laptop with Intel centrino AGN adapter and WPA2-Enterprise (MS-Charv2)

Hi All,

We are trying solution to automatically connect to our Enterprise Wifi Network which is configured for WPA2-Enterprise security with PEAP Authentication and AES encryption.

Solution will be running on Windows 7 laptop . we are WLANProfile XML to import and export profile . However this will prompt for username and password each time we attempt to connect to network.

Can any of you advice on clean mechanism to automate entering username and password and incorporate username and password as part of profile xml ?

We have tried this approach , but faced with fundamental problems.

in our enterprise environment , we frequently swap hard disk between laptop's and hence profile created with one laptop doesnt work on other laptop.

moreover we need laptop to connect to WPA2-Enterprise WiFi with MS-Charv2 enabled network upon user login without any intervention from the user.

we tried using intel pro-set utility for creating profiles and migrating across laptop's but we faced issue with driver's getting corrupted frequently and hence intel Pro-set utility reports "Physical Wifi Adapter disabled" or "No supported wifi adapter found"

it would be helpful if there is a windows API to so that we can write C# application to set the profile and connect to the WiFi on start up. please advice if you know any such API's

The only similar option we offered in the past included pre-logon or persistent connections; however, this is no longer supported in recent operating systems. Hopefully other community members may provide more ideas.
