Hello everyone!

Before i get started here are my specs.

Intel i7 4700mq

Intel r hd graphics 4600

Nvidia 780gtx m

Samsung 2233rz (old but gold)

So basically i connected my samsung 2233rz to my notebook using a dual link dvi to displayport 1.2 cable. Whatever i do, i cant seem to get more than 60hz on any resolution. On my old desktop i got 120hz on 1280x1024 without problems. I know the gtx runs on optimus so i have to change everything in the intel control panel because i only have the nvidia 3d settings to my availability.

My question is, is there really no way to get more than 60hz on an external lcd screen? Im using the 15.40 hd graphics driver. Is there some sort of tool or software update or even a workaround to bypass this problem? Ive been searching forums and the internet for days but nobody seems to be able to give an answer.

Thanks in advance.

Stevy

Hello, Stevy423.

Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Communities Team.

I understand you are not able to set 60Hz when connecting your laptop to your http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS22CMFKFV/ZA-specs Samsung 2233rz monitor. I will be more than glad to assist you further.

In this case, in order to help you better, I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have on the computer. Please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Furthermore, just to make sure, I would like you to verify which graphics controller is displayed in Device Manager > Display adapters. Please let me know if the drop-down only shows the Intel® HD Graphics, the NVIDIA® or both of them.
