Support for 480i CEA

Hi,

We have an adapter that convert HDMI to Component, the adapter support 480i CEA input. It has been tested and it work with a Raspberry Pi with the following config:

hdmi_group=1

hdmi_mode=6

We are trying to make it work with an Intel HD630 under Windows 10, but when we try to configure a custom resolution:

Select Display: Digital Television LONTIUM

With: 720

Height: 480

Refresh Rate: 60

Interlaced Mode: Enabled

Underscan Percentage: 0

Timing Standard: CEA 861

We received the following error message:

An Invalid value has been entered. Refer to the Manufacturer Manual to determine the supported value for this display.

Attached the information about the PC.

Can we make the HD630 work in 480i CEA?

Regards,

HuyV

Hello huyv,

I understand that you are getting an error when trying to convert from HDMI to 480i CEA while using an adapter. Regarding this, Please bear in mind that Intel* does not recommend the use of any kind of adapters. This is because we cannot test all of them, so we cannot guarantee that these are going to work. We can recommend you to update your graphics driver, that in some cases will fix the problem

You can refer to the following link in order to download and install the latest driver for your current graphics controller:

Hi David,

Unfortunately, updating to the latest driver didn't solve the issue.

I can't manually create a 480i CEA resolution.

I hope this can be solve in the GPU driver in a future release.

HuyV

Hello huyv,

Thank you for your response,

In order to better assist you with your request, I will need to check some information about your computer. Please follow these steps:

1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R.

2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter.

3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop).

4. Attach the report to this thread.

Also, bear in mind that there could be a hardware limitation issue here, either with the adapter and the compatibility with the Nuc.
