Can't find and enable Intel Quick Sync Video codec (GPU) in any video encoding/decoding program like Bandicam, OBS, Handbrake.

In Handbrake 1.0.2 log it shows: "Intel Quick Sync Video support: no".

I don't know how in Action as my Action 30 days trial has expired.

In OBS Codec selection there is no Intel Quick Sync Video Codec

In Bandicam 3.3.2.1195 >> Video >> Settings >> Codec selection but there is no Intel Quick Sync Video Codec

To fix the problem I have:

- - reinstalled various versions of Intel GPU Drivers:

15.28.24.64.4229 (05/06/2015) (the newest one)

15.28.23.64.4101 (04/02/2015)

15.22.54.64.2622 (21/01/2012) (- this one had showed black screen instead of windows desktop, thus I had to uninstall it from Windows Safe Mode)

Omega Drivers 3.5

Omega Drivers 4.0 ( it seeemed that they have installed, but after restarting computer, they haven't been installed)

Omega Drivers 5.0

- spent the whole day on googling phrases "quick sync not working" or " quick sync not available" or "quick sync not detected" etc but most of the solutions cover situations with creating a fake wirtual monitor wherein someone has a discrete GPU + Intel GPU, the solutions which covers only Intel GPU were...try to install an older version of Intel GPU driver because sometimes new Intel drivers have Quick Sync Video broken, I have done it as above, I have installed 4 older drivers I have found: 15.28.23.64.4101 (04/02/2015) and 15.22.54.64.2622 (21/01/2012) , Omega Drivers 3.5, and 4.0, I have found no other older versions of Intel / Omega GPU drivers neither on Intel GPU Drivers Download weppage nor in Google.

- updated to the newest version of Bandicam

- updated to the newest version of K-Lite Codec Pack 12.9 Full

- checked my BIOS options: all options related to Intel GPU are enabled.

but nothing helps.

Intel Core i3-2100,

Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V (Rev. 1.0) (BIOS UEFI F9 - the newest one, dated 23/10/2013),

Windows 7 Ultimate N SP1 64bit GPT UEFI

Bandicam 3.3.2.1195

Intel HD Graphics 2000 Driver the newest one, dated 05/06/2015, ver. 9.17.10.4229 (showed in Windows Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel) or ver. 15.28.24.64.4229 (showed on Intel's GPU Drivers Download website) GPU BIOS version 2158.0

What's going on?

Hello QuickSynccc ,

Thank you for contacting the Intel community.

Just checking - Did you try activating Intel® Quick Sync following the steps at the Bandicam website?

https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/intel-quick-sync/ https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/intel-quick-sync/

NOTE: This link is being offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel of the content, products, or services offered there.

Also, check the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/quick-sync-video/quick-sync-video-general.html Intel® Quick Sync Video-enabled Applications Regards,

Ivan.

As for the Bandicam Website link you have provided, yes I know the website and I have tried the steps before I have created the thread on Intels Community, but it hasn't helped, anyway it is mostly for dual GPU configurations.

As for the Intel® Quick Sync Video-enabled Applications link you have provided, I also have knew the website before I have created the thread on Intels Community, but I couldn't believe that such apps like Bandicam, OBS, Action, Handbrake don't support QSV, do you want to tell me that these apps do not support QSV? But if they do, why they aren't on the list then?

Anyway I have tried right now to convert some video in Movavi Video Converter 7:

In Target Format settings (gearwheel icon on the bottom) >> Video Codec >> It shows (for selection) only H.264 and MPEG-4

In Settings (hamburger icon on the top)>> Preferences >>Acceleration >> Enable Intel hardware Support is untickable (grayed out).

Quick SyncVideo is just not being detected on my PC.

No, I was not talking about Bandicam, OBS, Action, Handbrake don't support Intel® Quick Sync Video, the apps from the link I posted are the ones that Intel has tested but Intel cannot tested any app available in the market. You might need to ask Bandicam what their requirements are.

This processor only supports H.264, H.265 is supported in 6th generation processors, 2nd generation processor supports H.264 and not H.265.

You can check some more information here:

[/broken quotation]

Are you telling me, that the problem is on the Bandicam's side ? But man, it is not about Bandicam only, haven't you noticed yet that it is about Quick Sync Video being completely broken in any video coding/decoding program on my PC, Bandicam is only one of them, also Bandicam crew has already clearly stated : https://forum.bandicam.com/viewtopic.php?p=18299# p18299 https://forum.bandicam.com/viewtopic.php?p=18299# p18299 that QSV should work on my PC, do you want to tell me that all of these programs like Bandicam, OBS, Action, Handbrake and Movavi Video Converter 7 have Quick Sync Video support broken? Nearly impossible.

[broken quotation]

This processor only supports H.264, H.265 is supported in 6th generation processors, 2nd generation processor supports H.264 and not H.265.

[/broken quotation]

I did not ask for H.265, I did ask for QSV codec. unless you have meant that in Movavi Video Converter H.264 = QSV (H.264 is a wrapper for QSV), but even if so, to enable QSV I suppose I still need to enable (tick):

[broken quotation]

In Settings (hamburger icon on the top)>> Preferences >>Acceleration >> Enable Intel hardware Support

[/broken quotation]

which I cannot do anyway because it's untickable (grayed out).

As for the link you have provided, Intel tested QSV on driver version: 8.15.10.2246, and as I have already stated:

[broken quotation]

this one has showed black screen instead of windows desktop, thus I had to uninstall it from Windows Safe Mode)

[/broken quotation]

So has intel even tested QSV on HD2000 on a newer driver than 8.15.10.2246 and can Intel confirm that QSV works on the newset HD2000 driver like 15.28.24.64.4229 (05/06/2015)? I just want to be sure that the broken QSV is not a GPU driver related issue + I think the next step I'm gonna do is to do a clean install of Windows 7 to deterimne if the issue is on OS' level, if that won't be an OS'level issue, it might be a HW'level issue (incompatibility between MOBO and QSV? But in the documentation of my MOBO it's cleary stated that my MOBO does supports QSV.

And what the hell has happened with quotation in a post? When editing a post, cannot quote anymore (no quotation icon on the toolbar) + after I have finished editing my post, 1 quote's highlight has dissapeared, and 2 quote's highlights have dissappeared replaced with horizontal scrollbars. I have tried [quote]text[/quote] but it hasn't worked. My post now looks like sh... Quotation works only when Replying, and is broken when Editing, I have tagged it with "[broken quotation]" The Intel forum's bug? I have Firefox 51.0.1. Terrible.

ADDED:

[broken quotation]

I think the next step I'm gonna do is to do a clean install of Windows 7 to deterimne if the issue is on OS' level, if that won't be an OS'level issue, it might be a HW'level issue (incompatibility between MOBO and QSV? But in the documentation of my MOBO it's cleary stated that my MOBO does supports QSV.

[/broken quotation]

Instead of reinstalling OS, I have used this tool on Livd-CD booted Ubuntu 16.04 to check whether it's OS'level or HW'level issue: http://streambuilder.pro/docs/how-tos/check-iqsv/ http://streambuilder.pro/docs/how-tos/check-iqsv/ >> https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/mss-sys-analyzer-linux https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/mss-sys-analyzer-linux

as one of it's main purpose is:

[broken quotation]

OS readiness: check if OS can see GPU

[/broken quotation]

And here is the log:

[broken quotation]

ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ sudo python sys_analyzer_linux.py -v

Hardware readiness checks:

[ OK ] Processor name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz

--------------------------

OS readiness checks:

--------------------------

[ INFO ] GPU PCI id : 0102

[ INFO ] GPU description: unknown

[ ERROR ] No compatible GPU available. Check BIOS settings?

[/broken quotation]

Even before using this tool I have already checked twice my BIOS gpu settings, and iGPU is enabled. Also as I have already stated I have the newest BIOS for my MOBO. Also as I have already stated my MOBO does support QSV - just take a look here: http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B75-D3V-rev-10# ov http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B75-D3V-rev-10# ov it says (you have to...

Did you try one of the applications from the link I posted above? If yes, what is exactly the result?

Please re-read my post # 4 as you have wrote your post at the same moment I have been still editing my post, therefore you probably haven't read all the new part of my post # 4.

As for:

Intel Corporation napisał(-a):

No kidding - have you even read my post # 2? You have the answer there. It's not important anyway as it turned out already that the issue is probably a some incompatibility between MY MOBO & HD GRAPHICS 2000. Any ideas or should I go and ask on GIGABYTE forums?

BTW. It seems that this time the quotation hasn't got broken after editing the post. Shit happens.

Intel Quick Sync on this processor does not support some codecs. The one mentioned, H264, is supported. My recommendation is to do a bios update on the computer. Install https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24971/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-64-bit?product=81502 latest driver and make sure you are not trying to decode files H.265 or VP9 as these are supported from SkyLake or higher.

Please be aware that this is an EOIS (End of Interactive Support) product so honestly there is not much we can do.

Best regards,

Ivan

You are funny, you only gets ridiculed. It seems you fly on the forum like spambot and just put some generic answers to brush off.

Your recommendation is to do what I already have done "1000 years ago", I already have clearly stated that I have the newest BIOS and GPU drivers, are you blind or you don't even read previous posts?

I am sure.

Please understand that this is an end of interactive support product now. Again, some features may not be fully functional when using old platforms with new software. There is not much we can do for this.
