Crysis Warhead flickering smoke bug report and "solution" of this problem.

Yes at this time smoke. I swear, almos ever single game i run have grafical bugs, and now i gona make a list. If your settings "Particles Quality" not "Minimum" in some area smoke starts flickering, yea this is solution. Mainstream, gamer, enthusiast - cause flickering.

UPD: Goddammit, Crysis have the same problem! https://imgur.com/a/aV64Q Crysis "smoke" bug - Album on Imgur I was thinking why original game dont have this bug in DX9 mode...To fix it you need set "Particles Quality" set to "low" Game from GOG Version Mar 11 2008 1.1.1.6156 I attached save file for original game. File goes C:\Users\"YOURNAME"\Documents\My Games\Crysis\SaveGames

UPD2: Game suffers from another bug, if you set "Objects Quality" higher that "Mainstream" (DX10 and DX9) you will get something looks like very aggressive lod bug. And "almost every single game i run have graphical bugs" it figure of speech that showing current state of intel drivers. Crysis/Warhead 2007/8 game, 10 years old. Thousands of people tried play game and NOBODY reported about of bugs, this is tell us something. And what i supposed "fill out" it's joke. Form to be filled does not consider the problem - "AC or DC mode, i.e. is power cable plugged in or not?" oh yeah it will helps. System Support Utility already grab all information what we need. I first person who did not pass by and did not say - it just intel drivers. Crysis and Warhead has complex of bugs, i give all information, what, where, settings, saves. Just grab the links and start to fix bugs, and Seriously it's depressing.

Crysis and Warhead shares couple of bugs - flickering grass (DX10 mode only) and flickering smoke if your settings "Particles Quality" not "Low" for Crysis and "Minimum" for Warhead. Smoke supposed to be come from static objects like buildings or already placed destroyed cars by dev. design, plus you need to be close. Warhead has exclusive bug if you set "Objects Quality" "Gamer" (DX10 and DX9) or higher that you will get flickering on some objects as rocks and trees - depends from point of view and you need to be stay close.

Please place an X to the right of the option showing how often you see this issue using specific steps. (Ex: 'Every few times a game is started it flickers.' <- This would be "Often")<p>

Thanks Ivan for your attention to the problem. I want apology for my reaction. I spent like 4 hour on crysis and warhead messing with settings, google, youtube, forums.... Suggestion "uninstall the driver and then reinstall it" for me was like evil sarcasm. I not a newbie, i use a PC since Pentium 133 MHz. Plus trying explain on english its additional frustration for me. I was really angry because people know about this bugs for years and nobody report.

I made additional video of bugs. On all video Warhead first map - "Call me Ishmael" everything on video it's 5-10 min. of gameplay from a start.

This is screenshots DX10 vs DX9, the same settings 1:1. Just open screenshots in new tabs and switch fast between them. Long distance view scene, look how many vegetation missing on DX10 render. This is how it's supposed to be? Maybe it's part of problem.

Plus what i noticed, a time where LOD bug happens FPS drops really serious, 45 vs 30, only difference i move mouse to the right to bug appear, watch screenshots.

Hi Ivan, i try them and now i have NSFL content for you, because when i close my eyes i see flickering and horrible things \^_^/ I spent another 2 hours and now i real specialist if it Crysis and Intel iGPU. I'm pretty sure nobody on whole planet not test so many Crysis Warhead with so many different drivers and settings before. Here tests (from old to new) 4352, 4501, 4539, 4590 versions of drivers. I made tests on all settings in DX10, DX9 only enthusiast - it twice a more work. And I am ready to show some of them. Oldest driver 4352 12/23/2015 and now we can see what a progress in driver was made (spoiler alert! not a lot). Everyone who will watch it - open wide your eyes, this is will be painful, especially in extra section. Settings i change with dev. presets. DX10 doesn't have smoke bug, no matter how old or new driver - only DX9 bug, but grass...

NOPE! You probably thinking - what the hell i just watched. And how i constantly can reproduce it, and how i find this. Well i find this while testing old drivers and different settings, from screenshots you probably noticed i'm playing on old monitor and for 16x9 i need window mode, plus that easy for me use another programs. Crysis interesting game - windows key not working, and alt+tab you can do only if you have another program - i use notepad. Windows 10 has button on right bottom - minimize all. That's a button of problem for Intel driver and Crysis. Okey dokey, how reproduce. Run game in DX10 mode - yes DX9 don't have this bug (at least i not can make it), set preset enthusiast, load your save, go to the menu, minimize game, get back and set mainstream preset - PROFIT!? And now when you start feeling boring get back and set enthusiast preset again - second PROFIT!? Also you can play with fps while you playing fps. Game can run much better (recording eat 10 fps) but if LOD bug appear its - 50% of fps, catch em all!
