1)
Processor [1] and [2] both have the same SPECint_rate_base2006 of 1810.
The [2]/A processor runs at 200Mhz higehr frequency.
We're trying to make a purchasing decision based on performance.. can somebody please explain why SPECint_rate_base2006 is the same for both processors?
[1] and [2] have links too to the intel.com web pages accordingly (click on Benchmarks tab there).
2)
More minor: The [2]/A processor doesn't have SPECfp_rate_base2006 metric published .. any idea why?

Hello Tagar,
I'm sorry for delay on this.
This is Benchmark software to test the processors. Here you can see more information: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/benchmarks/server/xeon-e7-v4/xeon-e7-v4-general-compute.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/benchmarks/server/xeon-e7-v4/xeon-e7-v4-general-compute.html
Based on my research, people providing results for these benchmarks is the SPEC (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation)
At this point for you to get more information about this benchmark you will need to contact them.

Hi Ivan,
"SPECint_rate_base2006" isn't on the comparison table
Follow links I sent in me previous post
=> Then click on "Benchmarks" tab there
Those benchmark metrics will be at the very top of that page.
Thanks
