micro quadcore q8300

mi duda es la siguiente tenia un mother asus p5kpl-am-se con el micro q8300 , hace unos dias compre la version asus p5kpl-am pero dicha version no es compatible con el micro q8300 , si son del mismo socket los mother puedo poner dicho procesador ? o tengo que actualizar la bios . es que no me gustaria tener que comprar otro micro por ese inconveniente@

I have checked the list of compatible processors for your motherboard model at https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KPLAM/HelpDesk_CPU/ CPU support but I do not see the Intel® processor Q8300 as compatible unit and again, this is from your board maker.

 

To make a processor compatible not only the processor socket but computer BIOS is also required.

 

Please check with https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KPLAM/HelpDesk/ Asus for more information about this type of compatibility issue.
