Periodic Intel 5300 AGN Wireless disconnects

I have an Intel 5300 AGN wireless card in a Dell laptop running Windows 7 that formerly connected without apparent difficulty to a Linksys router. I recently purchased an ASUS RT-N66U router and am getting periodic (every day or so) disconnects. The Windows Event Log reports a Event ID 5007 Source NETw5s32 error. I upgraded to the latest wifi driver (13.0.0.107) but that did not help. What should I try next? Thanks

I understand your wireless adapter is disconnecting from your new router. It is possible the configuration of the wireless adapter or router settings is affecting the connection process; you may want to review the recommendations from the article below.

I am having the same problem. I THINK it started happening when I upgraded the Asus RT-N66U router (there were serious security concerns that it addressed). So DMiller and I have this in common and the same behavior.

The latest Intel® PROSet package is 16.1.1 and loads the driver 14.3.2.1. I am sorry for not having clarified this before.
