Hello, I have a laptop with an Intel Core i5-4200U CPU with Intel HD4400 graphics. As of now it is using the generic Microsoft driver. I am trying to update it to the current driver using the .exe file on intels website. It claims that my computer is not meant for the driver.
The screenshot below is of the driver that I'm attempting to install.
And this is the Error I receive whenever I attempt to install it. Please advise:

I am really sorry for the issues you are facing while trying to install the driver for the graphics controller but let me help you.
There are some troubleshooting steps you can do. Please try uninstalling the current driver you have and download and install the latest at this link:
