Hi, I am in the uk running an intel T6600 dual core @ 2.2Ghz 800FSB my Acer 8735G bios will not allow me to overclock the processor speed so I am thinking of upgrading the processor as there is nothing wrong with the laptop. Running Windows 8.1 media centre edition. 80281 PCI bridge 80282 Firmware hub - I am not sure what motherboard make is I assume its Acer (Chinese I suppose) - I have 4GB Ram and an Nvdia 240M display card - the Chip is PGA478 Pin and the intel website says it went out of production in Q109. Any thoughts appreciated.

I have been checking specifications on Acer web site and your computer seems to have a Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset.
For processor compatibility, this actually depends on the board and the BIOS; therefore, this information has to come from Acer directly.
