Windows 10 Home (10.0.14393)

The computer keeps restarting when the hdmi cable plugged into this monitor only.(no problem with other monitors)

So I can not keep Teamviewer connection as well.

I am trying to set custom resolution 2560x1600 @50 hz CEA861 but the control panel does not allow me to do.(An invalid value has been entered.Refer to manufacturer) Its because the selected display is different. I cant plug the monitor that keeps crashing.

Any idea why Intel adapter is not willing to work with this monitor?!

BTW, If I DISABLE In control panel,> system, >device, >display adapter> intel graphic card windows never crashes and I can keep the teamviewer connection. At this point the monitor backlight comes on, and the signal led turns to green BUT no image!

Hello secure,

Thank you for reaching the Intel Communities. I understand you would like to use the monitor with the system, and for sure we can check on this to look for a possible solution or a reasoning.

I would like to gather up some data from your system to have a clearer overview of the scenario faced.

  • Attach the graphics report from your system
  • Attach the Intel(R) SSU report to your system
How to get the reports?Graphics report

Thanks,

Thank you for the information provided, secure

I can see you already have the latest graphics driver installed on the system, so let's try to replicate this behavior with older drivers.

These are the versions to be tested (4653, 4578) to be downloaded from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+400 Search downloads

  • Also, have you tested this monitor on other computers? Is the problem present?
  • Have you tested different HDMI cables?

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Lenovo G50 with ATI Gpu - 2560x1600 works OK

Desktop Computer HD RAdeon 6800 - 2560x1600 works OK

Dell Inspiron 17R Intel GPU - works OK

It doesnt work with a different cable

Tried both old drivers without any success.

I would like to gather up some other data in order to get a clearer scenario and parameters that could be affecting the system's behavior.

Do you have the "Dell Inspiron 17R Intel GPU" that works with the monitor?

If so, please provide the dxdiag report from that computer.

Also, please notice this problem could be related to a compatibility issue of the monitor, driver or the VBIOS as well, the latter (VBIOS) implemented by the system manufacturer (i.e, not Intel).

I was wondering, have you reported this problem to the manufacturer of the monitor?

How to get the dxdiag report

1. Press the windows key + r

2. Type dxdiag in the window that appears and hit ok

3. Look for the button "Save All Information" it will create the dxdiag.txt file

4. Attach the dxdiag.txt file to your answer

Thanks,

Esteban C

Here is the dxdiag data of dell inspiron. I had talked with the manufacturer. They are basically telling the device works with the most monitors and no clue about it

I need to add this;

If I install the latest or old intel drivers and hdmi plugged to the computer, nothing happens on the monitor. No image, no backlight, no green led(controller board led)

Moreover, after a few seconds(30 to 40 sec) the computer restarts itself. I'm loosing Teamviewer connection so I can't see what happens there.

When I disable Display adapter or uninstall intel driver in windows 10 device manager.

- Teamviewer connection contunies

- Computer does not crash nor reset itself.

- Monitor backlights goes ON

- Driver board green led goes ON

but no image!

When the leds are ON, I set Intel Graphics software custom resolution. Like (2560x1600@50hz or 1920x1080@60 hz) Tried different settings with no image. If I set lets say 800x600 @ 60 hz the computer resets it self in 30 to 40 seconds.

If that makes sense..

Just wondering if you would ever come with a solution.

Why the heck you are collecting my data if you do not ever willing to support? You re a time waster.

Intel should quit making GPUs.

Hello secure

I would like to apologize for the delayed answer.

This appears to be a compatibility issue with this specific monitor model.

For that reason, my recommendation would be to report this to the manufacturer of the monitor, Why? That is for them to validate the problem by performing their tests and then report it back to Intel (thus facilitating all necessary 3rd party components to Intel for further debugging, this is from the manufacturer of the monitor side)

Please let me know if you are able to proceed with this.

Regards,

Esteban C

No!

Im not thinking of buying anything branded Intel.

The monitor is working with Nvidia and Ati GPUs. The problem is your driver crashing.
