PCIe version will get some case fan air

but what about the U.2 version? Does it need active air flow to cool?

or it is OK to mount on somewhere without active airflow. thanks

Hello tuziwang,

Regarding your questions, we can let you know that for both form factors you need to have a proper airflow across the drive to provide cooling, such as a front fan and rear fan.

You may find the information in https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025741/memory-and-storage/enthusiast-ssds.html this link as well as the requirements.
