How to download the new beta driver for Skyrim Remastered.

The new beta driver for Skyrim Remastered is not able to be downloaded on my computer. When trying to download, I get the error message "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date" and there is no way to bypass this as far as I know. I also went through the instructions on trying to install the ZIP file instead, but that still doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can download the driver? My computer specs are: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.71 GHz. RAM: 12. System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64 - based processor.

Hello cjmurphy6:

The Intel® i5-7200U processor works with Intel® HD Graphics 620, so just to make sure here is the beta graphics driver 4552 for that controller:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=96551 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=96551

Please un-install the current driver:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html

And install the driver above manually:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html

What is the mode of the motherboard?

If this is a laptop, what is the model of it?

Please let me know the results of trying those steps.

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

The above actions did not work, when I uninstall my driver and reboot my computer, it just installs my previous driver back onto my computer, leaving me with the same problem. If it helps any, when trying to download the .exe file, it states that my operating system is not supported. Also, I'm not sure how to find the mode on my motherboard, any help on how to? And my laptop is a HP Envy x360 m6.

Hello cjmurphy6:

Thank you very much for providing that information.

In that case we can try to disable windows automatic driver installation, and then try the driver one more time:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730606(v=ws.10).aspx https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730606(v=ws.10).aspx

Also, we can try to install the drivers from HP:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-x360-m6-Convertible-PC-series/7771360/model/8381959 http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-x360-m6-Convertible-PC-series/7771360/model/8381959

Please let me know the results of trying the steps above.

Any questions, please let me know.

I am unable to download it off of the HP website because the website does not offer the newest graphics driver and I'm pretty sure the directions you linked me for disabling windows automatic installation is for windows 7, not windows 10, because I do not have the same settings that are stated in the directions.

Hello cjmurphy6:

Thank you very much for providing that information.

Remember that Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes and in order to try to fix possible graphics problems. These drivers might or might not work with your system since they are generic.

Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, changed the release date, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to your driver and based on that Intel recommends to use the customized drivers provided by the computer manufacturer since that drivers were released to work with your system specifically, so the fact that there is a newer driver does not always mean that it will work better, some devices work better with an older version.

Let me apologize that I gave you the wrong link, please verify the following:

Try the steps on that link and try to install the driver again and please let us know the results.

Any further questions, please let me know.

When trying to install the lastest hp graphics driver available, an error message stating I did not meet the minimum requirements for the driver popped up. And when disabling the windows automatic driver installation, it did not work after I tried to install again with the .exe and the zip file. Although it didn't work, it may be because I didn't have an option stated on the directions. When pressing no for windows to download software automatically, that is the only button I could press. A button labeled never install software from windows update was not present, so I couldn't press it. I'm not sure what do to now, nothings working, but thank you for trying to help me so far.

Hello cjmurphy6:

Thank you once again for providing that information.

It is strange that you do not have that option, I looked for another link from Microsoft but I did not found any, so in that case you can always get in contact with them since they might have further details about how to disable the driver update:

Microsoft's support site: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us https://support.microsoft.com/en-us

Microsoft's phone number: 1 800-642-7676

If you get that message is because for some reason the diver is not compatible with your system, and in that case it will be better to check with HP directly about this problem:

HP's support site: http://support.hp.com/us-en http://support.hp.com/us-en

HP's phone number: 1 800-474-6836

Please let me know if after you get in contact with them, the problem persists or if it gets resolved.

Any questions, please let me know.

Hello cjmurphy6,

This seems rather odd, specially because this Beta driver has been tested by other users and they were able to install it without issues on their systems.

At this point I would suggest contacting us directly via chat, so we can provide real-time assistance with your issue. To contact us please visit this site: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html Contact Support

Hey, I contacted support and they managed to download the driver, so thank you for that. Now I have a new problem occurring thought as a result of this driver being downloaded. Ever since .4552 driver has been downloaded, my game is now very laggy, and it has nothing new added to it. It seems to run perfectly fine the first time when I restart my game and play the game without closing the computer, but after that I experience major lag, and even experience it after turning my resolution, visual quality, etc. down to the bare minimum, where before it was almost all the way to max visual settings and ran perfectly fine. Do you know why I am experiencing this, and if so is there a way I can fix it? Am I the only one having this problem? Thank you.

Hello:

It is hard to tell exactly why the game is having those problems, it could be related to the drivers or the game itself.

That problem happens with all the games or just with Skyrim?

Did you check with the manufacturer of the laptop about this new problem and did you try the graphics drivers provided by them?

A BIOS update might be useful in this case, did you tried that?

What is the model of the laptop?

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards

The lag seems to be happening to all games after a while. I have not tried a BIOS update, I'm not really quite sure what that is, and the manufacturer driver is the one I had installed before that had all those grey missing texture patches in skyrim remastered. My laptop is a HP Envy x360 m6.

Hello cjmurphy6:

Thank you very much for providing those details.

The BIOS is the program a computer's microprocessor uses to get the computer system started after you turn it on, so to do an update of it is always recommended specially when there is an issue or problem with the laptop. To do it just get in contact directly with HP, since they are the manufacturers of the laptop they will be able to provide those instructions.

After trying the BIOS update and based on the fact that none of the drivers provided above worked, then it will be better to get in contact with HP for further technical or warranty assistance.

I downloaded the new BIOS update and my computer is still laggy after an hour or too of playing for some reason ever since I downloaded the Skyrim Driver. Any way I can go back to the original driver I had? I would rather use that and have to deal with a texture glitch in skyrim then my whole computer lagging after a while.

Hello cjmurphy6:

Sure, you can always go back to the original driver, on the following link you will find all the graphics drivers for Intel® HD Graphics 620, you can use any of the drivers listed in there for Windows 10:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620

Also, you can use the following link and try any of the drivers from Dell:

I downloaded the latest driver, and that seemed to be working for about two weeks, but then yesterday it just started acting up again, with lag just coming at random times. I don't know if it's the driver or the computer, but this never happened with the original driver.

Now even the texture grey patches are back in skyrim remastered, and I haven't tampered with the graphics driver since downloading the newest one. I'm not sure what could have happened after two weeks for it to all of sudden go back to horrible again.

Hello cjmurphy6:

We are sorry to hear there are still some problems with the graphics on your computer.

To answer your question, maybe a Windows update was done and a different driver got installed. To verify if this is correct you just need to enter to "device manager" look for the option "display adapters" and then right click on the Intel driver, select "properties" and you will be able to see the version of it to make sure it is the original one.

The driver might belong to HP, so you can always check with them about this issue and to verify if there are new drivers for your system.

In our web site there is a new driver available, it contains the fixes for issues with some games like: Battlefield 1, Sniper Elite 4, so you can always try to install it, here is the link for you to do that and to confirm the information above:
