I was trying to play a game on steam when it said for me to update my outdated graphic driver or errors may occur (and they did) after looking through my laptop I then noticed that my driver version was 8.15.10.2900 which I guess is outdated. Is there anyway to update that driver? (On my laptop there is a sticker that says Intel i3 core inside) Thanks in advance

Well, it is not good.
However, you can try the driver here: http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=intel%20hd%20graphics%20windows%2010 Microsoft Update Catalog
Scroll down the page until you see:
The first is the 64-bit drive, the other is the 32-bit driver. Pick the appropriate one for your OS and install it.
As always, all standard disclaimers apply.

Installing it will update your driver, which is what you wanted.

Hello:
Thank you very much to Al Hill for the information posted previously.
To InfamousBacon:
In regard to your inquiry, I just wanted to let you know that Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes and in order to try to fix possible graphics problems. These drivers might or might not work with your system since they are generic and they might not be properly recognized by the laptop.
Since the laptop is not compatible with Windows® 10 the graphics driver might not get installed properly or it might not be available.
It is recommended to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer, but as you can see on the following link the drivers available are for Windows® XP or 7:
https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=VPCEB11FX&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=download# /downloadTab https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=VPCEB11FX&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=download# /downloadTab
Just in case on the following link you will find the instructions of how to install the driver manually, if you find a driver you can follow those steps to install it:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html
Any further questions or if there is any more information needed, please let me know.
Regards
Alberto

Hello InfamousBacon:
In regard to your question, it is actually your decision, because sometimes even if the laptop is not fully compatible with Windows® 10 and the graphics driver it is not up to date the laptop might still work properly and you might be able to use it normally, some resolutions might not be available though. But if you want to be able to properly install the graphics driver, then yes, the thing to do in that case will be to go back to Windows® 7 or XP, keep in mind that the latest graphics driver for Windows® 7 or XP might not be that new neither, since Windows® 7 was released back in 2009 and XP on 2001.
Any further questions or if you need more information, please let me know.
Regards
Alberto
