F200 lightining conditions vs FPS

Hi,

I'm experiencing some interesting drops in fps on the color sensor of my f200 at night. During the day in my office with two windows it gets up to 56fps but at night even with the ceiling light and desk light on it only manages 15fps.

Wondering if anyone has any advice for how to set up lighting to get a consistent high fps? I'm using it for motion capture so I need dat frame rate.

I'm also planning on moving into a larger room (2m x 3m x 2.5m) that will be used for full body capture so I can set up some crazy lighting if needed.

Any advice would be awesome. Cheers.

Hello Serin,

Thank you for joining the Intel communities.

Please try installing the latest driver we have, you can download it at the following link:

If the latest driver does not solve the problem please post your issue here:

Unfortunately I'm unable to use the latest drivers with the faceshift software I need - what with the whole Apply buyout thing. Stuck using a 2014 iteration I believe.

In any case - I've done the experiment to prove that its most likely a light problem by leaving the camera on all day and watching its fps drop as the sun drops down - opening up the rooms curtains actually increased the fps in this test so I assume from the evidence that its a lighting issue not a driver issue. Unless of course the newer drivers need less light?
