Recommended USB3 extension cables for ZR300 and other RealSense devices?

Hi famed RealSense community,

Want some advice here as the included cables for the ZR300 are waaaay too short (i.e. barely a foot). I believe you need a cable that can handle power, so maybe that explains the short size but I run into problems trying to mount this camera with the short cable. My hope is someone can guide me on an extension cable or something that's maybe 6/10 feet USB3 cable that works reliably. I want to spend my money judiciously.

Any clues?

Andres is correct in his advice that the provided cable has been specially rated for use with the RealSense camera. Having said that, if you want to take the risk of purchasing a longer cable then the best results with other RealSense camera models has been with a 1 m cable. This is because the camera's signal gets lost over a long cable. The majority of people in the past who used a 2 m cable failed to get the camera to work with it, though there was a couple of cases where people got it working with a more expensive 2 m cable (i.e a high-end, well made one rather than a budget one).
