Roden: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Processors communities and for the picture.

To answer your question, the T-case temperature for the Intel® i7-6700 processor is 71°C:

http://ark.intel.com/products/88196/Intel-Core-i7-6700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz http://ark.intel.com/products/88196/Intel-Core-i7-6700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz

Any value below that range is considered as normal, it could get a little bit higher than that and it is expected as well, however, if the processor is reaching 90°C or 95°C those are risky temperatures and in that case it might be getting overheated. Based on the picture the processor is running at 45°C and that is normal.

On the link below you will find a tool to test the processor, it does an overall test including a temperature test, if the processor passed that test then it should be working fine:

Any further questions, please let me know.

TCC activation temperature is 100c on a i7 6700 so you are fine.

Tjunction Max is the maximum temperature the cores can reach before thermal throttling is activated. Thermal throttling happens when the processor exceeds the maximum temperature. The processor shuts itself off in order to prevent permanent damage. Tjunction Max (Tj Max) is also referred to as TCC Activation Temperature in certain processor datasheets.

Have used Intel CPU cooler and temperature got maxed to 70 c on fallout 4 ultra setting. Its little warmer for me and better to give look at Cryorig H7 for only 30 dollars and it would be really fine.
