eDrive enable doesn't work properly for Intel PRO 6000p SSD

I have an Intel 6000p 512GB drive. Originally, when I tried to enable eDrive, it appeared to work. But after I rebooted, the drive now shows:

I have updated the firmware to the latest, and it is a retail drive (not OEM). I get a similar result from PSID revert or secure erase. It seems like the drive is stuck in some half-way state. When I enable bitlocker in the OS, it uses software encryption.

Is there any way to get teh drive to support eDrive?

Hello MikeH2,

We noticed that you're using the 32-bit Intel® SSD Pro Administrator Tool version 2.0.0.

Could you please download and try using the latest release of this tool? Make sure to match your operating system architecture:

- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26625/Intel-SSD-Pro-Administrator-Tool?v=t Intel® Solid State Drive Pro Administrator Tool Version: 2.0.1

This release includes an updated list of Intel® SSD Pro 6000p Series model strings that are supported by the eDrive* enable feature, which may help resolve your problem.

You may also want to make sure that you're using the latest firmware version available for this model. To update the firmware of your SSD you may use the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26837?v=t Intel® SSD Toolbox, or the bootable https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26491?v=t Intel® SSD Firmware Update Tool.

Please let us know if this helps.

Best regards,

Carlos A.

Hello MikeH2,

That's certainly not what we hoped for. Have you already confirmed that you're using the latest firmware for your SSD?Additionally, could you share a picture of your drive's label? Let us know if you would like us to send you a direct email for this.Best regards,Carlos A.

I ran the firmware update tool on Friday, and it said that I successfully updated it to the latest version.

The best image we have of it is:

We were just trying to photograph the PSID code, so it is just a partial of the other info.
