Hi Folks,

Got a S5520HC motherboard, and had server 2003, we formatted it, and now when trying to install either Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 R2 it just loops when it hits the "Starting Windows"

I have done the following,

Upgraded the bios, reset the bios, removed the cmos battery, changed to use SW RAID, AHCI, Advanced,

then upgraded the bios to the latest I could find,

Changed SATA ports, tried different HDD's

It still does nothing more than loop when hits the start screen,

I am able to boot it up with Hirens,

PLEASE PLEASE could someone help.

Regards

You could probably try the workaround listed on this article.

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-031086.htm Slow system response with Windows 2008 R2* or Windows 7* and embedded NIC driver

On step 3, it lists the workaround when the Operating System is not completing the installation.
