Intel(R) Display-Audio / HD 4600 - Passthrough of 4.0 Audio Files fails

Hi community,

i've noticed an odd bug in HD Audio Driver. I've configuered Win10 for audio playback in WASAPI exclusive mode (Foobar2000, Musicbee <-> HDMI connextion Yamaha AVR). Unfortunately playback of 4.0 audio files (FL, FR, RL, RR) failed. I assume channelmapping of INTEL Display-Audio in this case is FL, C, FR and LFE). All other multichannel audio files (5.0, 5.1...) are working as exspected.

Some more infos are attached. I hope you can help tro find a solution for this issue.

Best regards

Hello Cavaradossi,

Do you have the latest graphics driver installed, you can download it here:

The latest graphics has the latest audio driver installed, I suggest to uninstall the old driver the audio driver and to install the driver from the link I provided.

Best regards,

Ivan.

Hello Cavaradossi,

In this case, the Intel® Audio driver does not support 4.0 audio file, you can check http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000006687.html Setting Up Multi-Channel Audio
