FFXIV: A Realm Reborn poor optimization?

Hi,

I've recently built a new PC and I'm using an I5-6500 with the integrated HD530 just till I can get the GFX card I want.

Now the HD530 is supposed to be better than my Radeon HD5670 Sapphire 1GB GDDR5

On 2 games; World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2 it's a lot better. However on Overwatch and especially Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn they are both literally unplayable and can't reach 30 FPS where as the hd5670 card was fine with these 2 games. Also on FFXIV the screen pulses black every so often which I'm assuming is also related to the HD530 but it's the only game it runs so poor on and does this. My Native resolution is 1680x1050 which I've never had to change before but even lowering it to 1366x768 didn't give an FPS boost.

Is it poor optimisation from Intel and is it possible to request these games be optimised better anywhere please?

Edit: Just wanted to note that I've tried different driver versions also but nothing changes, so I'm currently just using the latest 21.20.16.4542

Hello Kez,

What settings are you using to play the games?

What tool are you using to track the FPS?

Amy.

Hi,

I put every setting on the lowest possible and disabled everything I could and even tried all the the smallest resolutions but no matter that FPS was always terrible.

The FPS was their own one when you're in the settings it shows you the FPS there but without or without it it was obvious it was very low from the gameplay itself.

Thank you for that information.

Did you disable VSynch? In case you haven't see here on how to disable it; http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005552.html Enabling and Disabling Vertical Synchronization?

Yes,

I never have VSynch on for anything. To much of a performance hit with it on.

Have you tried reinstalling the games?

For Overwatch I recommend using this settings; https://gameplay.intel.com/GamesSettings/8565/88184/Intel%C2%AE%20Core%E2%84%A2%20i5-6500%20Processor%20(6M%20Cache,%20up%20to%203.60%20GHz) Games Settings. Let me know if it makes a difference.

Amy.

Hi sorry such late reply but no it was a fresh install on a brand new pc build and even after doing the reinstall it's exactly the same.

the HD530 is supposed to be better than the Radeon HD5670 Sapphire 1GB GDDR5 correct?

I do not understand why I'm seeing such a huge improvement on all my other games except overwatch and FFXIV being unplayable :S
