SAS IOC Temp has failed and may not be providing a valid reading

Hello,

Just took delivery of a new Intel server, installed the SEL software to monitor events, and had several events that are a bit of a concern.

Board is a S2600CW (version H67035-224), 32GB RAM, 8HDDs.

The error that consistently pops up is as described above - "SAS IOC Temp has failed and may not be providing a valid reading" and "Management Subsystem Health, BMC FW Health (# 0x10)."

Is this actually a hardware failure? Was something misconfigured by the system builder?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To answer your question, this is not a hardware failure but a reading issue. Our recommendation is downloading and installing the latest firmware for the server board which can be found here:
