An old problem with this NUC - Intel Display Audio sound getting muted when games are played in fullscreen, has reappeared in this new game.
This was a major problem with many older games until a recent driver update seemed to fix it, but I've noticed it still happens in Hellblade (aswell as a few other games like Dying Light).
Again, when the games are played in windowed mode the sound is fine, it only happens when the games are played in fullscreen.

Hello teganjovanka,
I understand Intel Display Audio sound gets muted when you play games in full screen.
Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.
In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Please also attach the Intel Graphics Driver Report. This link will show you how to generate it https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html
What type of video cable are you using between the computer and the monitor?
To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.
Regards,
Fred D.

Yes the problem persists, I gave up on the game.
Deadly Tower of Monsters is another game with no sound when played in fullscreen. Also Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag has no sound during in game videos, but has sound during gameplay.
This is the same issue that plagued NUC7 in many older games until a recent fix, but clearly still persists in many games. All of these games work fine when played in windowed or windowed fullscreen mode, the problem is just in exclusive fullscreen.
