Hi
Recently installed a i7 7700K and I'm having problems getting the Intel HD Graphics to work properly over HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2.
I'm using this motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Fatal1ty%20Z170%20Gaming-ITXac/ http://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Fatal1ty%20Z170%20Gaming-ITXac/
with the latest BIOS and the "VGA driver ver:21.20.16.4542" listed under downloads. Windows 10 is updated with latest patches and I also tried the default driver that came with Windows 10 but it was not working at all with HDMI 2.0.
Other devices with HDMI 2.0 + HDCP 2.2 work fine with the display and cable so the problem is not related to the display or cable.
In order to solve this I probably need a new Intel HD Graphics driver but there does not seem to be any. It's quite confusing though, on this page:
https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/desktop-processors/7th-generation-intel-core-i7-processors.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/desktop-processors/7th-generation-intel-core-i7-processors.html
The following two drivers are listed as the latest available for this processor:
Intel Graphics Beta Driver [15.45]
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-
Intel® Graphics Driver [15.45]
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-
But when looking at the section "This download is valid for the product(s) listed below" on both these driver the HD 630 / 7700K is not listed??? Also non of these drivers will install, I just get the message "computer does not meet requirements". So why are these driver listed as the latest drivers for the 7700K when they will not work??? What is the latest Intel HD Graphics driver that will actually work with this processor?

15.45.10.4542 = 21.20.16.4542 , as described at
So you can only update to the beta driver 15.45.12.4552
As the installer fails, check out how to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 and Windows...

Thanks but this does not really answer why Intel are listing drivers that will not install on their website? And also why processors that are officially released and sold to the public are not listed as compatible inside those drivers?
I do understand that the driver I already have (from ASRock) is the same as one, of the two, listed above. And that is the one that I cannot get to work properly with HDMI 2.0 (it works fine with HDMI 1.4 but I need higher resolution).
So that leaves the beta driver. But I cannot get the beta driver to install either. As discussed the installer does not work (probably because the processor is not listed as compatible). I have already tried updating the driver through the device manager:
1. If I follow the instructions you linked to It just says "the best driver is already installed" and then nothing happens. Either I need to uninstall the old driver first (because Intel for some strange reason have named the existing driver and the beta with the same version) or this is simply not working.
2. If I try the other route called something like "Have disk" and select the .inf file then I can select many types of Intel HD Grapics like 530, 535, 620 and also some Iris Graphics like 555 and 580. But the 630 is not listed? I guess I could try something like HD 620 but not sure if that would work.
In any case it just seem like a complete mess from Intel...

I took a look at the INF files, INTEL seems to have forgotten your GPU?
Try ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78501-79000/sp78828.exe this driver from Hewlett Packard, it's generic and definitely supports your GPU
Actually there are 2 different HD 630
DriverVer=12/10/2016,21.20.16.4565
%iKBLDTGT2% = iKBLD_w10_DS, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5912
%iKBLHALOGT2% = iKBLD_w10_DS, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_591B
iKBLDTGT2 = "Intel(R) HD Graphics 630"
iKBLHALOGT2 = "Intel(R) HD Graphics 630"

The answer is simple, because Intel is pathetic and lazy when it comes to driver support. Launching products that costs over 300 USD and they don't even bother to support them with drivers, they don't really care. It's just pathetic and lazy.
Of course I get drivers from other sources but as a customer I expect driver support from Intel. This is certainly not asking too much.

Yups, I agree. It's quite amazing that Intel releases a whole new series of desktop processors but fail to provide the latest drivers for them.
Stefan3D. Many thanks. That driver from HP did the trick. It would not download in full from the FTP link you provided. But I managed to find (the same package?) on the http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=vc_180127_1# tab2 HP website and that would download fine.
I now have 3840x2160 at various FPS working properly AND with HDCP 2.2 (confirmed through Netfix 4K streaming in Edge)
The only problem that remains is that the boot screen does not show when using HDCP 2.0 (it shows fine when using HDCP 1.4). This is a minor problem as I can simply switch the input to 1.4 if I need to access the BIOS. In any case that is probably not for this forum...
Again, thanks for your help. Been using discrete graphics for many years so have not really bothered with Intel iGPU drivers.

This .exe fails for me with the same issue. "Does not meet minimum requirements"
asus z270e
i7-7700k
Edit: I guess I should clarify. I have no idea to how proceed. There is some knowledge that nilsman has that I don't, thus I'm ignorant to this tutorial. Plz help.

I think Intel has actually released a public driver that works for 7700K now? At least 7700K is now listed as compatible and that was not the case some weeks ago:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26563/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45- Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.45]
This has the same version number as the driver I'm using (4590). Although I got it from another source so have not tried above link...

"This computer does not meet the requirements to install this software" I have tried every driver I could find. I have downloaded all the chipset drivers from Asus. This is hilariously unprofessional.

You are getting that message because you are using an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) computer and you are required to install custom drivers directly from your computer manufacturer.
There is a way to install the Intel® graphics drivers available at https://downloadcenter.intel.com https://downloadcenter.intel.com, try manual driver installation. See instructions below:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html
Download the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26563/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=98909 zip version 4590
