can the intel Hd 4000 amount of dedicated/shared video memory be incresed by upgradeing ram? like from 4gb of ram to 6gb for example and if so do I have to manually change it to take more out of the ram?.

Adding more Ram can provide more room for the dedicated video memory but this can only be adjusted through the motherboard BIOS, you would have to check if the motherboard has this setting enabled since not all manufactures let you adjust this.
