R200 config ui on windows 10 platform

Hello Gentleman,

Is there any SDK could be used to configure R200 hardware parameters (contract, brightness, ... ) on windows 10 platform?

Because we want to use the sensor (R200) at the outdoor environment, so we want to configure these parameters to fitting the sunlight environment.

Thanks.

It sounds like your needs would be served by RealSense developer Samontab's laser configuration tool. It was originally designed for the F200 desktop camera, though Samontab thought it ought to work for R200 too (he didn't have an R200 so couldn't test it). Other developers reported that it worked for the new SR-300 camera if it was run using the Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Edit: here's the download link so you don't have to go searching through the long string of comments for it.

Thanks for your information, it seem like a good configuration tool.

But i got "IVcam.exe stopped working" error when i run the tool at windows 10 even i using the Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Could you have any other advice? Thanks again.

My laptop environment:

OS: wondows 10 (10240)

intel DCM version: 2.1.27.2853

On a different posting, Samontab advised disabling the R200's IR emitter with scripting, since over-exposure of light could reduce the R200's capture quality.

Someone tried following this advice to disable the emitter and said that it improved their capture in strong sunlight.

In regard to an alternate configuration tool, on the open-source RealSense SDK called Librealsense there is a tool called cpp-config-ui.

Dear MartyG

Thanks for your help,

I could use the cpp-config-ui to fine tune the parameter,

I will also try to disable the R200's IR emitter for testing, thanks again.
