Hi, I have a i7-7400 and I'm using the IGPU, the Intel HD 630. I'm experiencing visual artifacts (black stripes on the screen) in whatever programs which uses hardware acceleration, meaning Chrome, Games, etc.

I've RAM on stock clocks (3000Mhz) stock voltage and tried every config in BIOS.

PC specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX, DDR4, 2x8GB, 3000MHz, CL15 (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)

PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 10 350W

Kernel: 4.10.0-32-generic

Artifacts usually appears when I move cursor over a Google Chrome or Slack..

I don't have Windows license to test it on it....

Hello qweluke,

I understand you are getting artifacts on the screen in any application that uses hardware acceleration.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

What happens is that supports for Linux* Mint is provided by the Linux* Community directly. The drivers we have on our website are for Microsoft* operating systems only.

What I can recommend is contacting the Linux* Community so they can provide proper drivers. This link will give you their contact information https://linuxmint.com/contactus.php https://linuxmint.com/contactus.php

You can find more information about Linux* drivers on Intel products on this link https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005520.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005520.html

Regards,
