When will Realsense D435 be available?

Realsense D435 has been listed as back ordered for a while. I've placed an order, but I'm curious as when they will start shipping again. Does anyone know?

I'll also buy it from someone, if anyone wants to sell his or hers.

The shipments are being fulfilled in the order that they were placed (first in, first out). Existing orders are due to begin shipping after March 30, processing first the orders placed in January. So depending on how many orders have been placed since then, it may be sometime in April before an order placed after January can be shipped.

Another route for purchasing a D435 may be to register an account with Intel's 'Design-In Tools' store and purchase an 'engineering sample' version of the camera, which is meant for product designers to be able to test new equipment.

Thanks! Very helpful

I took your suggestion and created an account for 'Design-In Tools'. It says my application is pending review. Hopefully, it will get reviewed soon and I can order the samples.

Hi Marty, how long does it take to get access to the privileged account? I applied 3 days ago, and I haven't heard anything. I still see the pending message when I try to access the page.

We are in a hurry to start the work on our project, and we are trying hard to get our hands on D435 cameras. Any helps would be appreciated. Thanks.

A person I know of who registered a Design-In Tools account was able to make an order within a week. So hopefully you will get clearance early next week. The store's help page says it takes 7 to 10 business days to get access.

Are there any updated estimates when orders will be fulfilled? The https://click.intel.com/intelr-realsensetm-depth-camera-d415.html D415 order page says "Backorders will ship the latter part of the week of April 9" and the https://click.intel.com/intelr-realsensetm-depth-camera-d435.html D435 page just says orders will be fulfilled in the order that they were placed. What orders are currently being fulfilled for each camera (i.e., when were the currently shipping orders placed)?

The D435 store page is still the best place to look for shipping estimates. The detail in them varies depending on what Intel currently knows about supply, which is why they sometimes lack date estimates. Demand is outstripping supply because the cameras are a big success.

I'm not sure which orders are currently shipping. I think the D415 orders are being fulfilled quite quickly, as it comes back into stock quite regularly. The D435 situation is less certain. Brian Pruitt, Intel's RealSense Segment Mansger, said in a Q&A last month that supply of it, whilst still limited, is getting better in terms of timescales for fulfilling orders.

I checked the Q&A again. It was March 21, and at that time, Brian Pruitt said the wait for a D435 was around 9 to 10 weeks but getting better.

OK, thanks for checking. I placed an order for a D435 9 weeks ago so hopefully it will ship soon.

I have registered an account on Intel Design-In Tools website and got approved the same day. Unfortunately, I cannot find "engineering samples" of D400 series cameras available for sale on that website. There're some realsense modules available, but even they are backordered for weeks and have a minimum order quantity > 1. Am I missing something?

I already have D415 camera but I would like to get D435 camera as well to compare them side-by-side in my application. Let me know if/how it can be ordered without waiting for > 4 weeks.

Hello Guys,

In the following link you will find the information about the authorized distributors that may have cameras available. If they are back ordered then there is no other way to gat a camera right now.
