I'm using the latest .4664 driver, installed on a Lenovo X1 Carbon 4th Gen (Skylake) laptop. I've increased the dedicated video memory in the BIOS to 512MB from 256MB. Yet, the HD 520 only utilizes 192MB of dedicated memory and 1632MB of shared system memory. I have 8GB of RAM as well as a PCIe SSD, so dedicating 192MB to video memory is much, much less than ideal.
Do I need to update the video BIOS, or is there another configuration I should be changing, or does the dedicated memory function just not work correctly?
Thanks,
Brian

Hello intelsupportshootme,
I understand you would like to know how to increase dedicated memory in your computer.
One of our colleagues ( Robert_U) posted information about how the amount of reported video memory can be modified or disabled if desired on this thread /thread/75690 https://communities.intel.com/thread/75690
This other link will provide more information about graphics memory on our Intel® graphics controllers http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000020962.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000020962.html
Let me know if you have or not any other inquiry.

Fred D.
