Hey guys,

So i bought a second hand CPU off of a local site, it was advertised as a E5 2623 v4, today i recieved it in the mail today and i was surprised to see something totally else:

Intel Confidential

NA

QK3R 2.60GHZ

L532B702

M5026EN600345

So, is this like an engineering sample or what's up with it? I have read online that selling these CPU's is illegal but that's as far as my knowledge about them goes.

My question is, is it the CPU i bought or is it a (broken) engineering sample? Thanks in advance.

Get the seller to take back the processor.

Hello Zenki,

According to the information you provided and the link provided above, your unit is an Engineering Sample, please see below;

The fact the unit is an Engineering Sample does not mean that is broken, an Engineering Sample is used in the product design cycle prior to product launch.

You will have to get in contact with the place of purchase to inform this situation and receive further instructions.

Regards,

Amy C.
