D435 Color Camera Texture Projection in Autodesk's Maya

Hi all,

Has anyone determined the set of aperture and focal length settings needed to project a texture using Maya? Would the use of the Modified Brown-Conrady distortion model preclude this from working?

Thanks!

I would begin by ignoring the Film Back section for now and just focusing on Camera Attributes.

The 400 Series data sheet states that the Focal Length of both the IR and RGB cameras on the D435 is 1.93 mm. If Maya does not use mm as its focal length measurement scale in the interface in the picture you supplied then you will have to convert mm into whatever scale Maya uses.

In terms of Angle of View, Maya seems to calculate it based on the focal length. Its official documentation states: "As you adjust the camera's focal length, the angle of view narrows and expands. This is what causes objects to get larger or smaller in the frame. As you extend the focal length, the angle of view gets narrower. As you shorten the focal length, the angle of view gets larger".

When you enter the focal length value into the interface, does Angle of View automatically change and calculate it for you?
