Hello ms_saeed,

The max turbo frequency is a processor built in technology and it only works when Intel Turbo Boost Technology is active. You can get more information regarding turbo Boost technology here:

thanks for your attention.

I know that but I want know for example if I have http://ark.intel.com/products/81059/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2697-v3-35M-Cache-2_60-GHz ARK | Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2697 v3 (35M Cache, 2.60 GHz) can I reach 3.6 GHz on heavy workload without enabling Intel Turbo Boost Technology or not?

Hello ms_saeed,

Regardless of the CPU model the maximum turbo frequency depends directly on the Turbo Boost Technology. The description actually says the following: "Max turbo frequency is the maximum single core frequency at which the processor is capable of operating using Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. Frequency is measured in gigahertz (GHz), or billion cycles per second." (that is located under Max Turbo Frequency on the same Ark link that you mentioned).

So in a few words, if you want to reach the maximum turbo frequency you must use Intel® Turbo Boost Technology to achieve it.

If you have more questions please let us know.
