Hi everyone,
I recently bought a new laptop the DELL Inspirion 15.6 Intel i5 - 8gb memory - NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti - 256gb SSD . I was able to load windows 8.1 fine and was able to get the usb's and some drivers working. However when I try to install the NVIDIA Geforce drivers I get an error stating that I need to install the intel graphics drivers first. I tried doing that and since it is a 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7300HQ mobile processor, Intel drivers wont allow me to install them even through the device manager.
I have tried these steps:
https://communities.intel.com/thread/108407 https://communities.intel.com/thread/108407
But it didnt work. Maybe I am missing something or doing something wrong. Can anyone please help? I hate to have to return the laptop because I cannot use/stand windows 10 and its practices. I listed some specs on the bottom again.
Laptop Model
Dell Model: I7567-5650BLK
7th Gen Intel Core i5-7300HQ mobile processor
8GB system memory
256GB solid state drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics 4gb
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

Meanwhile Microsoft blocks Kaby Lake under Windows 7/8 as well.

Thanks Stefan3D ,
I actually was able to scan and get updates, The only thing that I am missing is this intel driver so I can get the NVIDIA 1050Ti drivers into the notebook. I cant get them unless I have the intel drivers first.
Do you know of any work around? because I do not want to use windows 10, This surely has made me mad with intel cause theres no need for this, I would be out of an oem windows version.

You would have to modify INF and disable driver signatures at your own risk as described under the link you previously posted.
Hard to say from the distance why it didn't work for you.

Hello techiekid001,
What I can recommend is contacting Dell* in order to check if there is or not a workaround available you can use. This link will give you their contact information http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/19/contactus/Dynamic http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/19/contactus/Dynamic

Hello techiekid001,
I understand you are trying to install graphics driver on Windows 8.1*.
Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.
What happens is that Intel® HD Graphics 630 supports Windows 10* and newer operating systems so there are no graphics drivers available for older operating systems including Windows 8.1*. You can confirm that information in the following link http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005526.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005526.html
What I can recommend is reinstalling the operating system that came with the computer so you can have drivers for it. You can reinstall the operating system using the Dell* recovery discs. This link will show you how to get them http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN297920/reset-or-reinstall-windows-10-on-your-dell-computer?lang=EN# Recovery-media http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN297920/reset-or-reinstall-windows-10-on-your-dell-computer?lang=EN# Recovery-media
Regards,
Fred D.
