X540-T2 Link is Down

I have X540-T2 adapter on ubuntu 14.04 server and netgear xs708e swich but at last one time in 24h I have link down messasge in console.

ixgbe 0000:04:00.0: eth0: NIC Link is Down

ixgbe 0000:04:00.0: eth0: NIC Link is Up 10 Gbps, Flow Control: RX/TX

ixgbe 0000:04:00.0: eth1: NIC Link is Down

ixgbe 0000:04:00.0: eth1: NIC Link is Up 10 Gbps, Flow Control: RX/TX

I updated to latest driver and firmware but no luck.

How to fix this problem?

Hi alex_qt,

Thank you for posting at Wired Communities. Have you tried change the cable to test and switch to other switch port to test?

Yes I test cable and its ok. Also I plug in cables n different port in switch with no luck. In this time I haven't different switch so can't test switch itself.

Stii have problem:

Thank you for the updated. The link down is intermittent, just to double check any changes made on the system or switch recently prior this issue occur?

pcie_aspm=off in kernel parameters was help me.
